Slidell Little Theatre Reviews

   Being new to New Orleans, this was our first visit here, but won't be our last.    This little theatre is a gem. There are no bad seats. While the seating is a bit old and uncomfortable for tall people, we still love this place

         Did not enjoy this play at all.

       I heard all I needed to know it was NOT a play I wanted to see…nor would I give my tickets to anyone else! I will not continue to renew my membership if this kind of play continues!

   Awesome venue with a very cozy atmosphere

 This play was absolutely amazing. The stage set was awesome and you can tell love and care went into it. The music was just perfect and matched the theme to a T. Acting was phenomenal. You always know it's an amazing play when you forget it isn't real because the emotions take you away. Lead actresses made me cry and laugh. Please do yourself a favor and see this play and any future plays that is put on.

 She Kills Monsters was an epic masterpiece from start to finish: Every single person displayed extraordinary efforts on and off the immortal stage to bring the exhilarating world of D&D to life and the results were truly gratifying in the best way possible. This phenomenal production is one of the best that SLT has ever done and a shining example of each theatrical element working together as a united collective to enrich and inspire the vibrant arts community. Job well done!

       Wonderful set, costumes, and stage combat. It was a graphic novel come to life. I do wonder if it would have been easier for older people, and others not familiar, if a short primer was given on D&D

   I liked the premise of the show but the language was horrible.

   Wonderful shows of inclusion and facing inner demons.

   Brilliant. Brought two players from a campaign I run and it brought us all to tears. It’s was exciting and being millennials, the calls out to the 90s… it was great. Thanks everyone!

   Very well done. the casting and costuming worked very well

   The set and costumes were highlights of the show. Felt like the plot/first act were too drawn out. Some of the actors/actresses had beautiful voices, but many didn't and seemed they sang the loudest, sorry to say.

   It was great! The singing AND acting were superb! Especially the man who played Quasimodo....so expressive, and what a voice!!! Esmerelda was also wonderful. It was SO good to see a full house (or almost) again at SLT!! Keep up the good work!

 The actors (especially Quasimodo, Frollo, Esmerelda, the Captain, and Clopin) did a fantastic job and really gave it their all! The rest of the cast and ensemble were lively and full of energy as well. Passion is the best way to describe how everyone who participated in this show felt. The set was lovely too and quite creative for what I'm sure is a tight budget. The use of streamers and the moving stairs helped to set the scene for different moments and locations perfectly!

   These kids are incredibly talented. I experienced all the emotions. Great job.

   The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I couldn't hear a lot of the actors. You could tell for the most part they were giving it their all.

 Legally Blonde was a disappointment.   Singing was not good. Sound was way off. Thought it was a high school production.

   Sorry to say it was my least favorite show that I have ever been to. We left at intermission.

   Loved it.

   Loved it. This was an amazing staging of a classic show. Lee Dukes did a fantastic job of directing the show and he made it unique while maintaining the original version of Godspell.

   I don't think this is a great play, but I thought the acting, singing, direction, choreography, etc. was admirable, especially for a run of only one week.

   Godspell has always been one of my favorite musicals. I thought the cast did a wonderful job. Thoroughly enjoyable evening!

   Loved it!!!!!

   I was not overly pleased with the performances and the singing. Only a couple of times did I find performances credible. I felt much of the singing was off key and often at unnecessary decibel levels. Overall, I felt the actor playing the doctor role(s) was most consistent and the actor playing Natalie provided more credibility than the other cast members. It is only because I am familiar with the play and its power that I decided to stay. I will still support SLT.

   ticket purchase was great, staff was extremely friendly! price was a little on the higher side for a community theater but loved the show overall! thank you! 🖤

   The singing was very good. The story is very real. Didn’t care for so many cuss words!

   Honestly so good. Everyone was so talented. I was in tears the whole time.

   This was my first show at SLT and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

     I like seeing the classics at Slt. Kylie and Brandon did a great job.

   It didn't happen. Once again we drove from Covington to Slidell for the event and the gates were closed. No notification. The dates on the sign outside the theater were never revised. Season members.

   I started out doing this show back in the 80's at Clearview in Metairie,. Been to New York 2 time to see the Broadway show.. LOVE THE SHOW AND THE PEOPLE PUTTING ON THE SHOW..

 Took 3 families including my own. My girls dresses up and got pics with the cast. It was an excellent performance. Props to acting, directing and sound. Costumes and set design were crazy good! What a show! Bravo!
