"A battle is brewing in the Charles household. At the center lies the family’s prized heirloom piano. On one side, a brother plans to build the family fortune by selling it. On the other, a sister will go to any length to keep it and preserve the family history. Only their uncle stands in between. But even he can’t hold back the ghosts of the past.

THE PIANO LESSON is the play for now. It reaches into the souls of the present, revealing startling truths about how we perceive our past—and who gets to define our legacy."

Written by August Wilson

"August Wilson's The Piano Lesson" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

Slidell Little Theatre has enchanted audiences in St. Tammany Parish since 1963.  It was founded by volunteers who recognized the need for live theatre on the Northshore.  Over the years, it has produced over 500 Main Stage shows.  Volunteers from all walks of life unite to build sets, design costumes, choreograph, and act in theatrical productions which brings music, drama, and laughter to the Northshore. Before finding a home at 2024 Nellie Drive, next to the Fremaux Town Center, SLT performances were held at high school gyms, the city auditorium, and a remodeled church.  Today, SLT's state-of-the-art facility houses two stages, the Main Stage and the Allen L. Little Stage.
