Our Mission

To engage, educate, and involve members of the community in high quality theatrical productions.

Our History

Slidell Little Theatre has enchanted audiences in St. Tammany Parish since 1963.  It was founded by volunteers who recognized the need for live theatre on the Northshore. Throughout its history volunteers from all walks of life have united to build sets, design costumes, choreograph, and act in theatrical productions that have brought music, drama, and laughter to the Northshore.

Before finding a home at 2024 Nellie Drive, next to the Fremaux Town Center, SLT performances were held at high school gyms, the city auditorium and a remodeled church.  Today, SLT's state-of-the-art facility houses two stages, the Main Stage and the Allen L. Little Stage.

To help fulfill its mission, SLT also has several programs like its Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) program which features popular children's plays, the Senior Actors Theatre (SATS) programs for 50+ actors, and its YATS (Young Actors Theatre of Slidell) program which presents our summer season focused on educating children ages 4-18. Slidell Little Theatre also has several fundraisers and special events throughout the year.
